Nerdcore hip-hop artist Schaffer the Darklord (STDNYC @ PSN) and vaudevillian Nelson Lugo (PieManAlaMode @ XBLA) shamelessly and lovingly embrace their geekiest interests to produce and host epic evenings of nerd-themed burlesque. Evenings filled with music, laughs and magic... but mostly, scantily clad burlesque beauties paying homage to some of their most beloved pastimes. Topics such as video games, comic books and cartoons are explored and celebrated in the most awesome way... with boobies!
Schaffer the Darklord (or STD) is a New York City-based rapper and comedian. From his many years as a rock drummer in San Francisco, STD harvests the imagery and attitude of heavy metal and melds it with quirky hip-hop beats and absurd, dark lyrical content. With influences ranging from legendary comedians like Lenny Bruce, George Carlin and Bill Hicks to renowned hip hop acts like the Beastie Boys, Slick Rick and Snoop Dogg, STD's catalogue of material includes songs with topics such as clone-sex fantasies, Jesus' return as a zombie, obsessions with nerdy women and lectures on the internet's destruction of the English language. His exploration of such themes has earned him frequent associations with the burgeoning hip-hop subgenre known as "nerdcore" including an appearance in the documentary feature "Nerdcore Rising." Nearly constant touring has won him a committed fan base from coast-to-coast and provided him the opportunity to share stages with such acts as MC Frontalot, MC Chris, MC Lars, Eugene Mirman, Grand Buffet and Pleaseasaur. When he isn't on the road, STD can be found guest-hosting countless burlesque events around NYC. His first two full-length albums (2004's "Meet My Maker" and 2007's "Mark of the Beast") have both been treated to steady sales and second pressings, and the music video for his single "The Rappist" has garnered a half million views on YouTube. STD continues to write, record and perform with great frequency and has no intention of giving up until his masochist rock-n-roll lifestyle destroys him. 
Nelson Lugo first started performing magic when he was nine and a half years old, after receiving a Harry Blackstone Jr. Magic Kit for Christmas. He was a very, very good boy that year and he's been mystifying audiences young and old ever since. Later, he then went on to apprentice and study under the guidance and tutelage of the greatest Masters and Wizards of magic at the Magic Round Table in Orlando, Fl., and was lucky enough to have worked for the renowned Old Town Magic Co. He sometimes wonders what would have happened differently in his life if he had gotten a box of Lincoln Logs that year. Fed on a steady diet of comic books, video games and sci-fi - Nelson's performance style combines classic magic with a refreshingly geeky contemporary twist. Funny, charming and energetic, he has been described as having an electrifying blend of modern theatricality, old school showmanship all the while peppering his act with the nerdiest of pop culture references. He dreams of one day creating a magic act that somehow combines his love of Batman, Dr. Who, Star Trek, Pretty Ladies and Pie…he will not rest until he does it!
BB Heart is a Brooklyn-based artist and dancer. She graduated with a BFA in studio art, but has since then taken her art out of the studio and onto the burlesque stages of New York City, Boston, Toronto, San Francisco and beyond. She loves bringing her expertise in movement, dance and vocal training to the burlesque stage and fusing the art of strip tease with her love of the dramatic. BB loves anime, tofu cheesecake and is a sucker for a Renaissance fair. She can be found all over NYC burlesque stages and with her troupe, Storybook Burlesque.
Hazel began her burlesque career at the NY School of Burlesque, making her debut at the Slipper Room. Childhood ballet and later experience in ballroom dancing sparked the desire for elegance and poise. Trading up to rhinestoned pasties, she’s developed a true love for the glamour of the golden age of burlesque, and the women who paved the way for today’s performers. Born and Raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Magdalena Fox picked up and moved to New York City in search of excitement and adventure, and she hasn’t looked back! A graduate of the New York School of Burlesque, she made her stage debut in December of 2008 and has since been busy wowing crowds with her inventiveness, character choices, and taste in music. When not busy performing her signature metal/rock numbers all over NYC and special appearances throughout the Northeast, (including Indie Girls Burlesque, Epic Win Burlesque, and the Red Rover Revue) Magdalena is hard at work making costumes for a number of her sister performers.
Miss Mary Cyn is a classically trained actor with a BFA from NYU who takes her clothes off in bars. She is the founder and co-producer of Original Cyn, the partingest show in New York. She has been performing burlesque since 2005 and stunning audiences all over the city with her singular style of dance, kinky sense of humor and creative twists on the art of burlesque. Victoria Privates has been spotted at crime scenes in NYC and the surrounding area. Only two years after first sneaking on the scene in the World Famous BOB Presents! Show, she is proud to have shared the stage with many of her burlesque idols from NYC and beyond. Known more and more for her quirky twist on the art of ecdysiasm, she has performed in a wide variety of gigs from Sweet & Nasty Burlesque to Paul Booth's Annual Halloween show to the 2009 All Points West Music Festival.
